House Report
First Semester (2003)
Shadow Committee was elected in November, where the new committee
then decided to organize a fund raising. The fund raising
was done nearly every night from after isya' prayer until
11.30 p.m. We sold burger and kebab, which were the trademark
for our house, and sometimes triffle, cheesecake, milk shake
and pizza maggie. We managed to collect quite a sum of money,
which was used for the Evening with Sapphire event. Evening
with Sapphire, with the theme of "Fun Fair" was
a success, where everyone seems to be having a great time
of their own. The event was officiated with a game of maze,
which was participated by each house captains, representing
their houses.
Second Semester (2004)
Sapphire
House Committee was officially elected in January. We then
continue organising the fund raising. The money collected
from the fund raising was used to organize a house trip. This
time, the fund raising was no longer held every night, but
only once or twice a week due to academic responsibilities.
We sold coney dog, a new trademark for Sapphire House. Sapphire
came out with the new version of house t-shirt, which was
made available for all the house members.
During the Easter break, our house trip to Pulau Kapas was
successfully organized. We spent 3 days and 2 nights there,
where we stayed in Makcik Gemuk Beach Resort. During our stay
in Pulau Kapas, numerous house activities were carried out
such as beach volley game, sandcastle building, snorkelling,
and kayaking. We end the semester with a farewell dinner at
the Garden Seafood Tg Malim. This farewell dinner was meant
for the seniors, and the former house committee also received
token of appreciation each.
Third Semester (2004)
We
began our semester with induction activities put together
for the new house members. We had a treasure hunt race whereby
each group consists of seniors and the juniors. The activities
were held to introduce the house members to the juniors and
also for them to get to know the college compound. A month
later, we had a welcome dinner for all Sapphire members including
our teachers, to celebrate the incoming of the juniors. 'Petsis'
and 'Petbro' were revealed during the dinner. A few performances
and games were held after the dinner.
The house committee also decided to make the house lunch a monthly
event as to celebrate the birthday babies of the month. Islamic
Aspiration Week (IAW), which was held in early August, was the
first college event that involves all the house members, and
we won many individual and team awards that culminated to the
"Best House" title. We finally came up with our own
banner, which were meant to promote support through cheering
and enhance our house spirit during any house games and activities.
The new fund raising committee had been elected among the juniors.
The fund raising involved all the house members, and we had
agreed to sell otak-otak, nugget, coney dog and also provide
chocolate dedication. The most, recent progress that our house
have achieved is that we had came up with our own website with
the address,
