Student Council

Students benefit from an elected Student Council that represents the concerns of the student body. The Student Council’s executive committee meets with the Principal every week to discuss issues and suggestions brought up by the students covering everything from food to religion.

The purpose of Student Council is to:

  1. Develop a positive mental attitude and self confidence
  2. Promote a harmonious relationship throughout the entire college
  3. Improve students/faculty relationships
  4. Improve morale and general welfare
  5. Provide a forum for students expression
  6. Plan and execute special events or projects

The Student Council aims to:

  1. Provide a democratic form in which students can address those college-related issues that have impact in their lives
  2. Maintain open communication between students and staff of the college
  3. Train students to take up responsibility and perform their duties

Each member of the Student Council must be responsible and willing to work hard. As a member of the Student Council you are expected to represent other students on whatever issues brought up to you to the Management. Bear in mind that the Student Council may speak up their concerns but does not have the power to change any of the college policies.

  1. Obtaining a minimum of grade C in the 1st semester exam for all subjects
  2. No records of disciplinary/misconduct according to college rules

The Student Council will be involved in many community projects such as:

  1. Beautifying the college
  2. Community service – CSR
  3. Students opinion polls, newsletter, bulletins etc

The success of the Student Council is based on your hard work, quality time spent to plan and execute college activities, skills and talent.

  • President

    A President is the leader of the Student Council. He must lead and encourage the rest to perform their responsibilities as expected.

  • Vice President

    A Vice President is the assistant leader of the Student Council. He must lead and encourage the rest to perform their responsibilities as expected. The Vice President will act as Council leader in the absence of the President.

  • Secretary

    A Secretary is expected to record any minutes of meeting and various Council activities accurately and make sure all info is current and up-to-date.

  • Treasurer

    A Treasurer is expected to keep accurate records of all financial transactions of the Council.

  • Representatives

    Each Representative is expected to embody the Council’s effort to be the student voice. A Representative must develop a dialog between students and the Student Council.
